Description
Job Summary:
The position is for a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) on a step down unit located in Bloomington, Illinois. This inpatient acute floor nurse will be responsible for caring for patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including respiratory, neurological, cardiac, and post-surgical patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Bloomington, Illinois
- Schedule: The Travel RN will work three 12-hour night shifts per week with rotating nights, weekends, and holidays. The RN will be included in holiday and weekend rotation.
- Required Qualifications: Active licensing to submit; willing to wait for license processing. Valid certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Extensive ICU experience is preferred for floating to intensive care units.
- Floats: Travel RNs are first to float and may be assigned to ICU or general medical floors based on experience and unit needs.
- Additional Information: Orientation will include one day with the education team and one day floor orientation. The unit has 32 beds, all private rooms, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse. Dress code is scrubs in any color.
