Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) registered nurse position available in Utica, New York. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for adult patients undergoing open heart surgery procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details
- Location: Utica, New York
- Schedule: 4x10 variable shifts with dayshift hours; minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate's degree; current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse; a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in operating room open heart procedures; familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as EPIC; ability to float if census is low
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The role involves on-call duties up to 7 days per four-week schedule, including one full weekend, for a 13-week assignment. The unit primarily cares for adult patients with diagnoses such as coronary artery disease, aortic stenosis, and mitral regurgitation, and utilizes technology like EPIC and Omnicell.
