Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Berlin, Vermont. This assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks, requiring candidates to bring their license on the first day. The role involves working night shifts, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends as needed, and experience working in teaching facilities is required.
Job Details:
- Location: Berlin, Vermont
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid ER RN license; minimum of 2 years of ER experience; recent (within past 2 years) EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience; current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications required prior to start; TNCC must be in packet or proof of class before start date; NIHSS required prior to start date; previous teaching facility experience; de-escalation training such as Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) preferred; experience with pediatric patients under age 5 required.
- Preferred Qualifications: De-escalation training such as CPI; recent EPIC EMR experience (within past 2 years).
- Additional Information: The assignment is 13 weeks only. Travelers will see a high volume of pediatric patients under age 5. Candidates must have reliable transportation since public transportation is not accessible in the area, and vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April.
- Float: Float rotation may not be required.
- Submission Requirements: TNCC certification must be documented or proof of class prior to start; NIHSS required prior to start; all employment gaps over 90 days must be explained; complete work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) is mandatory for submission.
