Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse - Postpartum Unit in Seattle, Washington. This position involves caring for high-risk obstetric patients in a busy healthcare environment. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day. The role includes delivering postpartum care, managing complications such as postpartum hemorrhage, and supporting vaginal deliveries. Candidates with travel experience are preferred.
Job Details:
- Location: Seattle, Washington
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); at least 2 years of experience in high-risk obstetric care; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification; experience with Cesarean Section, Episiotomy / incision care, Fundus / lochia / perineum care, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Postpartum, Postpartum Hemorrhage, and Vaginal Delivery; EPIC electronic medical record system experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: JADA experience; experience with substance withdrawal management.
- Float: Float rotation may be required at Issaquah Campus and Edmonds Campus for postpartum, labor and delivery.
- Additional Information: The unit serves a high-census, diverse patient population with high-risk obstetric cases. Care involves postpartum treatment following delivery after pregnancy; standard patient census is approximately 45 per day, with 57 beds in the unit. The role requires participation in interdisciplinary support teams and compliance with all relevant policies.
