Description
Job Summary:
Endoscopy Technician based in Seattle, Washington. This position involves supporting a busy, tertiary medical centers large endoscopy department, assisting with various advanced therapeutic and general endoscopy procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work any start time.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Basic Life Support (BLS) provider, Certified in Medical Assisting (MA-C), Surgical Technician certification, or Nursing Assistant certification. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in an Endoscopy or Gastrointestinal (GI) laboratory setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with USAP MAC Sedation, advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures, and working in a Level Two trauma, tertiary medical center.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Facility supports both inpatient and outpatient care, with approximately 41 patient visits per day across four rooms. The unit treats a wide age range, including pediatric patients, and manages complex GI diseases. Responsibilities include assisting with biopsies, scope reprocessing, intra-procedural assistance, room turnover, and instrument sterilization. Candidates should be flexible to work various start times and respond within 45 minutes for on-call duties, with an estimated 132 hours of on-call per month. On-call and weekend shifts are included.
