Job Summary
The ICU Trauma Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves caring for critically ill trauma, neuro, and surgical patients within a 24-bed Trauma Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.
Job Details
- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
- Schedule: Nights shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week; 7p-7a shift; every other weekend; holiday/hard-to-fill shift to be determined
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum 2 years of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience; certifications related to critical care as per facility requirements; ability to work nights and weekends; relevant experience caring for trauma, neuro, and surgical patients; experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, and continuous dialysis is preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center; familiarity with Sunrise (SCM) Electronic Health Record (EHR) system; neuro and trauma patient care expertise; advanced certifications such as CCRN or Neurocritical Care certification
- Additional Information: Join a facility with a Level 1 Trauma Center and Stroke Center of Excellence. The unit handles blunt force and penetrating injuries, complex neuro conditions, and surgical cases requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and other specialized procedures. The team is trained to manage critically ill trauma, neuro, and surgical patients using specialized protocols and equipment.
