Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Telemetry (Telemetry) available in Berkeley, California. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care within a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac and other critical vital signs, and managing complex medical equipment and procedures. Candidates are required to bring their California nursing license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Berkeley, California
- Schedule: Day Shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale, CPI Crisis Prevention Institute certification, 3+ years of Telemetry nursing experience, 6 months of travel experience, Epic charting system experience preferred, evidence of recent vaccinations for COVID-19 and Flu, ability to provide a 7-year work history verification, and candidate must be available to complete required lab work within 3-5 days of signing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience.
- Additional Information: The candidate will provide care for adult and geriatric patients, with an emphasis on cardiac monitoring, vascular access management, and use of advanced medical equipment such as pacemakers and ventilators. Floating to different units or campuses may be required, including possible assignment to the Oakland campus. Travel to other campuses within scope of practice may occur with notice. The unit staff includes interdisciplinary support such as respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams. All certifications must be in hand and verified prior to start.
