Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This role involves providing critical care in a high-volume ER environment, with an average census of 160-180 patients per day, including a large number of stroke cases and pediatric patients. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, for a duration of 12 weeks
• Required Qualifications: Illinois license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), 3-5 years of ER nursing experience
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The facility has 44 rooms, with each team managing 10 beds or pods. Staff support includes nurses, PCTs, and physicians, with patient staffing ratios of 1:4 to 1:6. The ER experiences a high patient volume, with a focus on stroke management and pediatric care. Orientation includes 12 hours of classroom and 6 hours of non-billable orientation on Tuesday.
