Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Certified First Surgical Assistant for a position in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves assisting in various surgical procedures within a busy cardiac unit, supporting a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The candidate will be responsible for providing specialized assistance during surgeries across multiple service lines, including general surgery, urology, gynecology, spine, neuro, orthopedic, robotics, and vascular procedures.

Job Details:

• Shift Hours: 10 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Start Date: 08/17/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA or CFA), at least 2 years of First Assist experience, and the ability to work independently within a cardiac surgical environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, urology, gynecology, spine, neuro, orthopedic, robotics, and vascular surgeries.
• Schedule: Days shifts, minimum of 40 hours weekly
• Additional Information: This position requires being available for on-call shifts, with approximately 4-5 calls per month, and weekend coverage as determined by the unit's scheduling needs. The role mandates adherence to hospital dress code and unit policies, with scrub attire provided by the hospital.
