Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Operating Room (OR) located in Sylva, North Carolina. The position involves supporting perioperative care for diverse surgical procedures, including C-Sections, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, ENT (pediatrics and adults), Pain management, and Dental (pediatrics). Candidates are required to bring their active licensure on the first day to support clinical operations. The role involves working 10-hour day shifts, with occasional call coverage to support PTO coverage for dedicated call RNs.

Job Details:

• Location: Sylva, North Carolina
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, Day shift; 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; 1 year of OR experience plus one travel assignment; Certifications as applicable (e.g., BLS, ACLS if required); familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Paragon
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling C-Sections, Orthopedics, General, Urology, Gynecology, ENT, Pain, Dental procedures; clinical familiarity with Hana table, trauma table, enseal, myosure, novasure, kabtec, neoprobe equipment; ability to work independently in a surgical setting

• Additional Information: Harris Regional Hospital is an 86-bed acute care facility offering diverse surgical services. The unit has 7 OR beds, with patient ratios of 1:1. The team supports various surgical procedures utilizing specialized equipment. The position is a replacement for permanent staff, with orientation scheduled periodically throughout the year. Candidates should possess excellent clinical skills, a family-oriented personality fit, and flexibility to cover occasional call shifts.
