Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients within a Level IV NICU environment. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity setting with a focus on both clinical excellence and patient safety.
Job Details:
- Location: San Francisco, California

- Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; variable shifts
- Required Qualifications: California RN license; BSN degree; minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level IV NICU; certifications including AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE; ability to float to PICU and CICU; experience with UVCs and UACs; proficiency in vent management, trach management, telemetry, pulmonary artery lines, and umbilical/central line management; previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk deliveries, neonatal transport, and advanced neonatal procedures.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This position involves managing a variety of neonatal special procedures and equipment, including ECMO, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and ventilator management. The unit maintains a daily census of approximately 52 patients and requires adherence to strict clinical protocols and safety standards. All RTO must be disclosed at the time of submittal and approved by the manager at the time of offer. Travel pairs are permitted but generally assigned to different units.
