Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is needed in Fullerton, California. This role involves providing post-operative recovery care to a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position supports a fast-paced environment with a daily census of approximately 40 patients, and the schedule is Monday through Friday with flexibility to work any days within that range.

Job Details:

• Location: Fullerton, California
• Schedule: Days, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum 2 years of experience in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU); certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); experience with Epic or Meditech electronic medical records preferred; candidates must be open to working any days Monday through Friday.
• Preferred Qualifications: First-time travelers with 3+ years of PACU experience are considered.
• Additional Information: The facility is a 17-bed acute care hospital supporting various surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, gynecologic, urologic, cardiovascular, GI, ENT, thoracic, vascular, and plastic surgery. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Candidates must be prepared to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
