Job Summary:
This surgical technologist position is located in Tillamook, Oregon, within a critical access medical center near the scenic Oregon Coast. The role involves facilitating invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team throughout operative cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Tillamook, Oregon
• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology; relevant acute care experience preferred; certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technologists or the Association of Surgical Technologists; CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor per organization policy.
• Essential Functions: Verifies surgery to be performed with consent forms and brings patient to the operating room; passes instruments to the surgeon; anticipates surgeons needs; performs counts with the circulator; prepares sterile dressings; secures dressings after incision closure; checks supplies and equipment; sets up sterile field; helps drape; cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization; assists with room turnover and prepping for the next patient; performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Additional Information: Located off the Oregon Coast, the facility emphasizes safety and patient care excellence. All associates are required to receive all mandated vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. The organization participates in E-Verify.
