Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position in Athens, Texas. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy, interdisciplinary environment. The position offers a flexible schedule with night shifts, and the ideal candidate will have experience managing complex patient needs and utilizing advanced charting systems.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Licensure in Texas or appropriate state license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, 2 years of ICU experience, and experience with charting system Epic.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in community hospital settings, LTAC (Long Term Acute Care) experience, and trauma level II certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU with patient load experience, charting proficiency, and trauma experience preferred.
• Additional Information: The unit cares for adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of approximately 8 patients across 10 beds. Support services include respiratory, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Provider must complete onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing; modules are completed onsite during orientation.
