Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse operating in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This inpatient role involves centered care for cardiac and medical patients in a 42-bed unit, with a focus on telemetry monitoring. The position requires flexibility for floating to other units and hospitals, with a schedule predominantly during night shifts. The assignment begins on 09/07/2026.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: License as a Registered Nurse in the state of Alabama or a compact license (no temporary licenses accepted); associated degree in nursing; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 2 years of total experience, considering 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license with at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Cardiac Telemetry unit and float capability.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other units and hospitals.
• Additional Information: The unit primarily focuses on cardiac telemetry, often treating patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, or arrhythmias, as well as other medical conditions. Flexibility for holiday work and every other weekend is required; parking is available.
