Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position in Sun City, Arizona. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients within the unit, adhering to organizational policies and professional nursing standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment and a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based patient care.
Job Details:
- Location: Sun City, Arizona
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, current BLS certification, experience in an acute care hospital setting for at least one year within the past 12 months in the specialty area, or equivalent licensure and experience as specified; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, professional certification, additional related education and/or experience.
- Additional Information: Candidates working at specific healthcare facilities must possess and maintain state-specific Fingerprint Clearance Cards, including Arizona and Colorado as applicable.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Performing comprehensive patient assessments, developing and revising individualized care plans, direct patient care, delegation and supervision of activities, evaluating patient responses, thorough documentation, participation in research and quality improvement activities, and promoting excellent patient outcomes.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently; lift up to 75 pounds; respond quickly to patient needs; possess adequate hearing and visual acuity; use proper body mechanics; communicate effectively in person and verbally.
