Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Renton, Washington. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a busy emergency department. Candidates are required to bring their licensed healthcare professional license on the first day. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience, including 1 year in a trauma center, along with prior travel experience. The schedule includes rotating shifts, and candidates must be flexible to work any shift required, including heavy night shifts.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Valid license to submit; minimum of 2+ years of emergency room experience, at least 1+ year of trauma experience, and prior travel experience. Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Schedule: Variable shifts with rotating schedule; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the last two years; experience managing patients with diagnoses such as STEMI, Stroke, DKA, Sepsis, Trauma, Respiratory Diseases, and Behavioral Health.
- Additional Information: Must have excellent ability to provide culturally competent care to a highly diverse patient population. Experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory without exceptions. No first-time travelers accepted.
- Clinical responsibilities include managing trauma, stroke, sepsis, respiratory, and behavioral health emergencies. Coverage involves a 55-bed ED with additional trauma bays, triage area, separate holding and psych/seclusion rooms, and in-house security.
- Working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment, including charge nurses, nurse aides, emergency physicians, mid-level providers, technologists, and transport staff.
