Job Summary:
Operating Room Technician specializing in Surgical Technology located in Alexandria, Virginia. This role involves assisting surgical teams during a variety of complex procedures, including Thoracic, Trauma, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic, and Robotics surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their active Virginia licensure on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS (must be American Heart Association certified), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification, active Virginia license at submittal, 0+ years of experience in surgical technology.
• Schedule: Days shift from 07:00 am to 03:30 pm, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Weekend expectations include working every other weekend.
• Float: No float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsible for supporting surgical teams across 11 operating suites, with an average of 25-35 cases per day. Cases include orthopedic (total joints, sports medicine, fractures), neurological (spine, cranial procedures, tumor resections, brain biopsies using navigation Stealth), Maxillofacial, ENT, plastics, vascular, colo-rectal, general, gynecology, urology, podiatry, thoracic, and breast surgeries. Floor-specific orientation lasts 1 week (2 weeks for night shift). The position does not require Epic electronic medical record access.
