Description

Job Summary:
The position of Nurse Manager (Labor and Delivery) is located in San Luis Obispo, California. This leadership role involves overseeing unit operations within a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and trauma center. The Nurse Manager collaborates with medical staff and healthcare team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, ensuring patient safety and operational efficiency. Candidates are required to bring their registered nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: San Luis Obispo, California
  • Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, rotating start times, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education and related experience; Masters Degree (preferred); Minimum of five years technical experience (preferred); Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Clinical and/nursing administration certification; Additional experience with trauma centers is preferred; Certifications in ACLS and PALS are required.
  • Additional Information: This role involves providing unit-based leadership in clinical services, supervising staff, managing patient care, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The position requires active participation in quality improvement initiatives and staff performance evaluations. Candidates must adhere to vaccination requirements and possess experience relevant to trauma centers. No call responsibilities are associated with this role.
