Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) care is sought for an observation unit position located in Marquette, Michigan. The role involves providing care for adult patients meeting observation status criteria, including conditions such as chest pain, asthma exacerbations, TIAs, abdominal pain, urinary issues, blood sugar issues, DVT/PE, cellulitis, post-procedural monitoring, and minor trauma. Candidates must bring their RN license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Marquette, Michigan
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, 5 Days/5 Nights per week, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license with BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Competency, Telemetry/Electrocardiogram (ECG) Competency; 1 year med/surg experience; telemetry experience; Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) proficiency
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC, ENPC certifications are optional
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Medical, Cardiac, Neuro-Ortho units
• Additional Information: No guarantee on block scheduling; candidates must be 60 miles or greater from the facility; local rate is $48 per hour; the position involves adult patients only (18 years and older).
