Job Summary:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation on a Nights shift in Morgantown, West Virginia. This position involves providing care to adult patients with diagnoses such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, spinal surgeries, and amputees in an acute rehab setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
• Schedule: Nights shift, 7 P.M. to 7:30 A.M.; weekends and holidays as scheduled; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Licensure as an RN; valid driver's license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; at least 1 year of experience in inpatient acute care
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, spinal surgery, or amputees; familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records; ability to read strips for telemetry (not required)
• Additional Information:
  • Patient ratios typically 1 Nurse to 8-10 Patients
  • Common diagnoses include stroke, TBI, spinal cord injuries, and amputations
  • No titratable or set-rate drips required
  • RNs attend team conferences for inpatient rehab
  • Charge nurses may take assignments; Nurse Aides are used intermittently
  • Equipment used includes Cpap, BiPap, trachs, PEG and Mickey buttons, NG tubes
  • Overstaffing may require floating to other acute floors
  • Rotating weekends (4 weekends per month) and holiday shifts required
  • No self-scheduling, but employee requests accepted
