Description

Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in the Emergency Room (ER) located in Alexandria, Louisiana, is sought for an immediate opening at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-acuity emergency care to a diverse patient population, including stroke, cardiovascular, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
  • Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association, RN license in the state of employment or valid compact license, minimum of 0 years of experience in the related nursing specialty.
  • Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in the ER or similar specialty.
  • Additional Information:
    • Every other weekend shift.
    • No call requirement.
    • No floating to other units.
    • Nurse to patient ratio of 4:1.
    • All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
    • New hires are precepted by trained staff, with onboarding validated through competency assessments and participation in residency or orientation programs.
    • Skills and competency assessments are documented through the tracking software.
    • Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory.
