Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Operating Room (OR) nurse specializing in Open Heart procedures in a facility located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The position is for a day or night shift with a schedule of 8 hours. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
• Specialty: Operating Room Open Heart
• Schedule: Day Shift or Night Shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic Operating Room Experience; Punctuality; ability to scrub Cardiac and Vascular cases; experience with Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR); flexible schedule, and reliable call response time (within 30 minutes)
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to scrub Cardiac and Vascular cases; experience with Meditech EMR; familiarity with procedures such as CABG, Valve surgeries, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, fistula creation/interventions, VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass, angiograms with interventions, LVAD, RVAD, ECMO; level 2 trauma coverage for all vascular and thoracic procedures; self-motivated, team-oriented, flexible, and punctual personality traits
• Additional Information: The team includes three on-call staff every night, comprising two registered nurses and a scrub technician. The hospital is located on the seacoast, one hour north of Boston and one and a half hours south of the White Mountains. The facility has three operating rooms with a staff of eleven, and the unit routinely performs advanced cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
