Description
Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Candidates are required to bring their valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse license on the first day of assignment. The position necessitates the ability to float between units and work night shifts as scheduled.
Job Details:
- Location: Spokane, WA
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Schedule: Night shifts; every other weekend or as needed
- Required Qualifications: Valid WA or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, two years of experience in NICU or neonatal care, experience with Epic electronic medical record system, and familiarity with the skills listed in the position description.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing ventilators by respiratory therapists, previous NICU experience, and ability to float between units under age of 2.
- Additional Information: Travelers will float first; ventilators managed by respiratory therapy staff; candidates must have covered two references within the last three years; vaccination status for COVID-19 and Flu required; must include responses regarding prior work at Providence facilities. The role involves working with patients under age 2, including neonates of 29-34 weeks gestation, and requires handling complex neonatal interventions and equipment.
