Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Telemetry Medical Surgical Float (MS-Tele Float) Nurse in Garden City, Kansas. This role involves providing patient care across multiple units, including general medical-surgical and specialized areas such as cardiac, neuro, and oncology. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of their assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Garden City, Kansas
• Schedule: Nights shift, 11.5 hours per shift, with 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule; minimum of 34.5 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license; certifications include BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from the American Heart Association, and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale); at least 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years; experience with EPIC electronic medical records and Alaris infusion pumps is preferred; must be able to titrate drips such as Heparin.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior neuro experience is preferred.
• Additional Information: May be asked to participate in the holiday rotation. The position involves floating within Zone 4 around Garden City, Kansas, across multiple units including MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Orthopedics, Trauma, and Emergency Department Observation. Shifts are released 4 to 6 weeks in advance and may be assigned via call shortly before the shift start time. The role requires flexibility to float into various acuity levels, including ICU (low acuity), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele. The initial float assignment will be communicated on or before the first day of work.
