The healthcare organization is seeking an Operating Room Specialist in Hopewell, Virginia. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within the Operating Room unit, with responsibilities including circulating, scrubbing, assisting, and maintaining sterile procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Location: Hopewell, Virginia
• Shift Schedule: Day Shift, Evening Shift, Night Shift (Shift hours: 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week)
• Certifications and Experience: Candidates must be Registered Nurses (RNs) who can circulate as well as scrub and/or assist; must hold Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; candidates with Central Sterile Processing knowledge or experience will be prioritized.
• Additional Information: The role requires experience handling specialty operating room equipment such as specialty beds (Hanna, Jackson), positioning, and electrosurgical devices. The ability to perform typical procedures including general, orthopedic, neuro, and ENT surgeries is preferred. Dress code includes cornflower blue scrubs, with no outside scrubs allowed, complete with hair cover, mask, and eye protection. Jewelry is not permitted for scrubbed personnel, and fingernails must be clean, short, and well manicured at all times.
