Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Pediatric Floor Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position in Oakland, California. The role involves working on a pediatric unit providing care for infants, children, and adolescents. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced environment. Candidates are required to bring their California nursing license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour days with a variable start time, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Certified Post-Anesthesia Care Nurse (CPAN) certifications. Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including pediatric patient care, with prior travel experience within the last 12 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience and teaching hospital experience are preferred.
• Float: Float policy permits reassignment to different departments or facilities within a 75+ mile radius if the candidate meets job specifications.
• Additional Information: This role requires working in a Level I Trauma Center environment with a patient census of approximately 25 daily. The unit handles various pediatric diagnoses, including neuro issues, cardiac conditions, post-operative care, and more. The RN will be responsible for managing complex medical equipment, medication administration, and patient assessments. A COVID-19 vaccine plus booster are required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
