Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse with expertise in the Endoscopy Laboratory (Endo Lab) to provide specialized nursing care in a fast-paced medical setting located in Hyannis, Massachusetts. This position involves coordinating pre, intra, and post-procedure patient care, including assisting physicians with various gastroenterology procedures such as colonoscopies, biopsies, and other endoscopic interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
  • Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of recent (within the last 5 years) Endoscopy experience. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Basic Arrhythmia Program or challenge exam, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Moderate Sedation certification, successful passage of pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams.

  • Additional Information: The nurse will practice according to entity mandatory requirements and department expectations, adhering to best practices in patient care. Responsibilities include administering medications safely, managing pain, identifying signs of neglect or abuse, assisting with surgical and gastroenterology procedures, and documenting diagnoses accurately.
