Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Technician position is available in Newton, Massachusetts. This role involves performing the disassembly, cleaning, disinfection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation and equipment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated healthcare team in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Newton, Massachusetts
• Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift, rotating weekends and holidays as needed, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
• Required Qualifications: Certification in sterile processing or related field, with no minimum years of experience specified. Candidates must hold a valid license and have the ability to utilize computer systems such as EPIC, CSIQ, and SPM.
• Preferred Qualifications: Existing knowledge of EPIC and CSIQ/SPM systems is preferred.
• Additional Information: Performs tasks including the leak testing, evaluating, cleaning/disinfecting, processing flexible endoscopes, inspecting instrumentation, assembling surgical kits, packaging and wrapping loads for sterilization, operating sterilization monitoring equipment, and responding to emergency case requirements. Assesses instruments, components, and supplies for adequate levels, requests replacements, stocks code carts and supplies, and trains new staff and volunteers. May rotate between departments as needed and functions independently in the absence of supervisory staff.
