Job Summary:
This Cardiovascular Registered Nurse position is located in Petoskey, Michigan, on a step-down unit specializing in cardiovascular care. The RN will be responsible for utilizing clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions within a fast-paced environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Petoskey, MI
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 06/29/2026
- Required Qualifications: Michigan license verification; 1+ year of step-down experience; proficiency in cardiac care; travel experience; EKG comfortability; willingness to float to similar units
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications or skills related to cardiovascular nursing are advantageous but not required
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The role involves supporting a Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) with procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. The unit cares for post-operative open heart surgery patients, patients with congestive heart failure, and electrophysiology cases. The CVU has received a Silver level Beacon Award and is part of a nationally recognized cardiac program. Candidates must complete a skills checklist within one year of application in accordance with health system standards.
