Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care specific to the post-anesthesia recovery process. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. This role involves providing safe, efficient, and high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia, adhering to organizational standards and policies.

Job Details:

  • Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, four 10-hour rotating shifts per week, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse license or current Compact state license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via American Heart Association (AHA), current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification via AHA, current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification via AHA, graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program, knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served, and up to two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required within surgical services.
  • Additional Information: The role requires proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC, and demonstrates competency in patient assessment, development of individualized care plans, timely interventions, and patient education in the post-anesthesia setting.
