Job Summary:
A Neuro Medical Surgical (MS) nurse is needed in Arlington Heights, Illinois, for a night shift position. This role involves providing care to neuro patient populations, including stroke, neurosurgical (spine, cranial, ENT), and seizure patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor
• Shift Hours: 12 hours (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Illinois license, Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), 2+ years of strong Medical Surgical (MS) nursing experience, experience with neuro patient populations, and proficiency in EPIC charting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro experience including stroke, neurosurgical, and seizure patients.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Nurse/Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6; neuro patient care including stroke, neurosurgical, and seizure patients.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours weekly.
• Submission Requirements: Updated resume, skills checklist completed within the past 12 months, one reference completed within the past 12 months, Illinois license verification.
• Orientation: Wednesdays and Thursdays, with 16 hours of nonbillable orientation hours required before start.
• Credentials Due: Thursday prior to start date.
