Operating Room Surgical Technician position located in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Certifications NBSTSA Certified and must maintain certification; Education Graduate of an Accredited Civilian or Military Operating Room Technician/Surgical Technician program; Experience 0 years of experience required; Licensure Must have NBSTSA certification; Certifications BLS Certification required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ortho Experience strongly preferred.
• Additional Information: Demonstrates a good technical knowledge of the surgical environment, principles of infection control and sterility. Prepares the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining a sterile environment according to hospital policy and AORN Standards of Care. Performs scrubbing functions for all services and specialties. Assists in transporting patients, operating sterilizers, and helps with diagnostic equipment. Responsible for updating and maintaining equipment and instrumentation of specialty services, participating in staff meetings, and providing service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers. Works in conjunction with registered nurses and participates in educational programs related to career development.
