Description
Job Summary:
The Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) technologist position is based in Lubbock, Texas. The role involves supporting cardiovascular surgeries in a short-term acute care facility with 379 beds. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including holidays.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week, including select holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of consecutive experience in cardiovascular surgery, EMR experience with Epic, valid compact license must be in hand at submission. Certifications required include Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), and Surgical Assistant (SAS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Angioplasty/stenting, Aortic Aneurysm repair, and other advanced cardiovascular procedures; experience with the EMR Epic is preferred.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent experience in cardiovascular surgery performing procedures such as Aneurysm repairs, bypass surgeries, and other advanced interventions. Must have a compact license in hand at the time of submission. RTO (Requested Time Off) must be specified during submittal and include major holidays if applicable. All references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required, including 2 references. Vaccinations are not required for COVID-19, and flu vaccination status is unknown. Candidates should answer whether they have worked at a Providence facility previously, including location and dates.
