Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Alexandria, Virginia. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, supervising ancillary nursing staff, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Alexandria, Virginia
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum
• Start Date: 06/22/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to first shift, valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience, current nursing license, and relevant experience in a similar clinical setting.

• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The RN must perform comprehensive patient assessments within 8 hours of admission, develop and implement individualized care plans, participate in patient education, and facilitate discharge planning. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to hospital policies. The RN may assume charge responsibilities following orientation and is expected to pursue ongoing professional development.
