Description
Job Summary: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Step-down/PCU) Golden, Colorado
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Step-down/PCU telemetry unit. The role performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted standards, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Schedule: 12-hour Nights shift (19000730), 36 hours per week minimum

Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA); Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) (required)

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree of Nursing; previous Registered Nurse experience; certification as appropriate for unit or service

Responsibilities:
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care
- Evaluates health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data
- Provides health teaching and health counseling
- Provides therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to life and well-being, directly or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
- Executes delegated medical functions
- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
- Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
- Documents according to hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Uses resources as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
