Description

Job Summary:
A Labor and Delivery Nurse position is available in Glendale, California. This role involves providing specialized care in a Labor and Delivery unit with a focus on ensuring maternal and neonatal health during childbirth. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Glendale, California
  • Specialty: Labor and Delivery Department
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 7:00 PM, every other week, with first to float
  • Required Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in Labor and Delivery, with preferred travel experience; Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM). A valid license to submit is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records system Cerner
  • Additional Information: The unit has 10 beds with 2 in the operating room (OR) triage beds, 18 postpartum beds, and delivers approximately 130 births per month. The unit manages high-risk pregnancies, including deliveries down to 23 weeks and antepartum care. The unit has perinatology support and handles various patient diagnoses including hypertension and cardiac abnormalities.
  • Holidays: One major holiday (Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years) and one minor holiday (Christmas or New Years) are observed.
  • Float: PPno float unless NICU background for feeder/grower, L&D to postpartum.
  • Other notes: Shift is 12 hours, every other week, with the first to float.
