Description
Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position is located in Napa, California. This role involves providing specialized patient care in the post-anesthesia setting, with varied day shifts starting at 0900, 1000, or 1330 based on the surgical schedule and unit needs. Candidates are required to bring their California nursing license on the first day. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in PACU or critical care, familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system, and certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Job Details:
- Location: Napa, California
- Shift: Variable day shifts, typical start times include 0900, 1000, or 1330, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California nursing license, 2 or more years of PACU or critical care experience, experience with Epic electronic medical record system, certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma level experience, teaching hospital experience, experience with EMR systems Epic and Cerner, trauma level experience, teaching hospital experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to nearby sister facilities
- Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Travelers must be willing to work two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. The assignment start date is 07/06/2026, with the availability to begin on or after that date.
- Submission Requirements: Must include two references covering one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years, a copy of certifications, and a current CA license. Candidates must be willing to work overnight or day shifts as scheduled and float within the scope of practice.
