Description

Job Summary:
The gastrointestinal (GI) Services Tour Nurse position is based in Castro Valley, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a GI unit, requiring candidates to have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Candidates are expected to bring their license and certifications on the first day to be eligible for consideration.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications in hand at the time of submission, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro ICU. Candidates must have Epic electronic medical record experience preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, neuro ICU expertise, and familiarity with advanced neuro and stroke protocols.
  • Float: May float to Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department.
  • Additional Information: Must be prepared for a start date of 07/13/2026 and be able to attend lab work within 3-5 days of signing. Candidates should have a valid California RN license, and all certifications must be current with American Heart Association (AHA) standards. Background screening policies apply, including disclosure of any blood or legal history prior to submission. Candidates must provide a complete 7-year work history for verification.
