Description
Job Summary:
The Endoscopy Technician 2, based in Plano, TX, is responsible for performing examinations and procedures under clinical supervision in the gastrointestinal (GI) lab. This role involves assisting with procedures, monitoring patient vital signs, sterilizing endoscopic equipment, and providing technical support to the clinical team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Plano, TX
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional shifts until 4:00 pm (late physician documentation day).
- Required Qualifications: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Education and Experience: 1 year of experience preferred; GI Technician experience required; computer savvy preferred; Location: Plano, TX; Years of Experience: 0.0
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of patient care standards and procedures; ability to observe and communicate changes in patient condition; adherence to safety and infection control protocols; excellent customer service skills; interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Additional Information: The role involves assisting in procedures, sterilizing equipment, monitoring patients, preparing specimens, coordinating supplies, and acting as a liaison with vendors. Leadership responsibilities include guiding other technicians and assisting with training.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
