Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Medical Surgical Oncology (MS ONC) located in Birmingham, Alabama. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a medical surgical oncology, neurology, or palliative care floor. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. This is a night shift position.
Job Details:
- Location: Birmingham, AL
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: Night (12-hour shift)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, at least 2 years of clinical experience in med/surg, oncology, neuro, or palliative care, proficiency in assessment, IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, and NGT placement.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical surgical oncology, neuro, or palliative care settings; familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC.
- Additional Information: This role requires the ability to perform assessments and invasive procedures such as IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, and Nasogastric Tube (NGT) insertion in adult patients with complex medical needs.
