Job Summary:
The Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Surgical Technician position is based in Naples, Florida. This role involves working in a surgical scrub capacity for operative and invasive procedures within the facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers rotating shifts, with the potential for 4x10-hour or 3x12-hour schedules, and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The role may include call responsibilities and requires experience in cardiovascular surgery settings.

Job Details:

• Location: Naples, FL
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating, with 36+ hours per week; typically 4x10s or 3x12s; shift times may include 6am, 6:30am, or 9am-7pm, never past 7pm.
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technologists; National certification or certification eligible; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association (expiration date 12/31/2027); 5+ years of surgical experience; EMR experience using EPIC required; Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
• Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience; experience in cardiovascular surgery, specifically transitioning into CVOR, with minimally invasive valves, ECMO, and robotics in CVOR.
• Additional Information:
  • Work involves maintaining asepsis and assisting in surgical procedures, tracking implants, and ensuring efficient room turnover.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, good communication, and teaching skills.
  • Must be able to scrub all cases efficiently and support specialty equipment competency.
  • Call responsibilities include 6-8 shifts per month, typically one weekend per month, with a 30-minute callback and up to an hour of travel included if called in.
