Job Summary:
This pediatric healthcare facility located in El Paso, Texas, is seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will provide specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients in a dedicated unit that manages complex cases such as septic shock requiring vaso-active drips and mechanical ventilation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: El Paso, Texas
• Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Pediatric and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience, pediatric nursing experience, 0 years of experience required (training opportunities available)
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric ICU experience, additional pediatric nursing experience
• Float: Not required
• Additional Information: The unit has 19 beds, including 10 PICU beds and 9 pediatric beds. It is equipped with Hillrom beds, GC monitors, ICU Medial Plum 360 pumps, and Med Fusion syringe pumps. The staff consists of 27 members covering day and night shifts with a variety of personnel, including charge nurses and bedside nurses. The unit emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and a focus on critical pediatric care, handling complex cases such as septic shock requiring vaso-active drugs and respiratory support.
