Description
Job Summary:
A healthcare organization is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) in Fountain Valley, California. This position involves working in an outpatient infusion center specializing in oncology treatments. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role focuses on administering chemotherapy, managing ports, and overseeing patient care for adult patients. The position is scheduled for a 8-week contract, with the potential to add additional weeks upon discussion and approval.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, 8 hours per day, Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license, 2 years of experience in infusion nursing, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS/ONCC).
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in outpatient oncology infusion centers, managing chemotherapy infusion, and port care.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position involves managing Ports, administering chemotherapy, recognizing and managing side effects, and starting/maintaining IVs. Experience in community hospital settings and familiarity with community hospital electronic medical records is preferred. The role requires adherence to the specified vaccination policies, including the flu vaccine.
