Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Gastroenterology clinics is sought for a role in Bismarck, North Dakota. The position involves providing patient care in a specialized clinic setting, with a focus on inserting and administering intravenous therapies. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
- Shift: Daytime hours Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Certification: BLS (American Heart Association)
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical setting
- Education: Active RN license required; no specific degree or certification beyond BLS listed
- Clinical Responsibilities: Insertion and administration of intravenous therapies, managing patients with conditions such as cirrhosis, GERD, and dysphagia
- Equipment/Tools: No RT (Respiratory Therapy) equipment on this unit; nurses do not read strips
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 8 patients per day in a growing clinic
- Unit Details: No nurse aides; charge nurse/clinic supervisor roles are available
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Additional Information: No orientation specific to this unit; no float requirement unless alternative departments are considered; inpatient pharmacy available 24/7; scrubs of any color accepted. The unit observes several holidays, with a cancellation policy of 4 shifts per contract, or 3 shifts if under 13 weeks.
