Description
Job Summary:
The outpatient infusion nurse position is located in Fairfax, Virginia. The role involves administering chemotherapy, biotherapy, and related infusions in an outpatient setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Fairfax, Virginia
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Chemo/Biotherapy certification, valid license to practice as a healthcare professional, with at least 2 years of outpatient infusion experience, including true chemotherapy infusion experience. Outpatient infusion experience in ambulatory oncology is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience and Beacon certification.
- Additional Information: First to float to other campus infusion centers; floating is typically not required unless absolutely necessary and the traveler agrees. Clinical technicians are available to assist with placing IVs and drawing blood. Travelers need to be flexible and committed to creating a positive environment for clients.
- Holiday Requirement: One major holiday and one minor holiday.
- Shift & Hours: 8 hours per day, 3 days per week (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM).
