Job Summary:
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech (ORT) Modesto, CA. The Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech supports surgical procedures by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting with operative case workflows in an operating room environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8 shift hours, minimum 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri).
• Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • 2 years of surgical technician experience (as stated)
  • Current certification documentation as applicable with valid expiration dates
  • Valid California state licensure with Nursys upload completed within the last 2 weeks
  • Submission of 2 references obtained within the last year
  • Former manager(s) name required on application
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cataract and ENT (ear, nose, and throat) experience
• Additional Information:
  • Shift time includes Mon-Fri.
  • Holiday coverage may be required. Holidays include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day; holidays begin at 7:00 PM the night before and end at 7:00 AM the day after the holiday. Only 1 holiday per contract can be requested.
  • Onboarding compliance: labs must be completed within 35 days of contract signing.
  • Work history verification: 7-year work history verification is required; accurate work history information must be provided, and documentation or contacts may be required if verification cannot be completed.
  • Compliance deadline: all compliance documents must be due 10 days prior to start.
  • Modules: modules are non-billable; an average of 15 hours is spent on modules and is factored into NBO, and module time exceeding 16 NBO hours is billable. Modules are completed during orientation and are recorded through e-learning.
