Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population in a stepdown unit from ICU using a Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and have the ability to complete the Alaska RN license application within 48 hours of signing. The assignment is for 13 weeks with an immediate start date.
Job Details:
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; 0 years of experience; ability to obtain Alaska RN license within 48 hours if pending; must have Alaska RN license in hand for Auto Offer; valid state license (pending license accepted, but in hand for Auto Offer)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a stepdown unit or progressive care setting, familiarity with Epic charting system, and experience with cardiac, respiratory, or complex medical-surgical patients.
- Responsibilities include providing high-quality care within a Virtual Nursing Model, managing cardiac and respiratory patients, and floating within scope to lower acuity units as needed.
- RTO Restrictions: Time off approved on an individual basis; all RTO must be included in submittal.
- Open to first-time travelers.
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Additional information: Role involves managing ventilators such as high flow nasal cannula and BiPAP and caring for patients with cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical conditions. Must have AK RN license in hand for Auto Offer.
