Description

Job Summary:
A Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available in Anchorage, Alaska. This position involves working on a stepdown unit from Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a focus on a variety of patient populations, including cardiac, respiratory, neuro, renal, and post-surgical patients. Candidates are required to bring their Alaska RN license on the first day. The assignment commences on 07/20/2026, for a duration of 13 weeks, with a schedule of 12-hour night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Location: Anchorage, Alaska
  • Shift: 4x12 or 3x12 nights (traveler's choice)
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
  • Qualifications: Valid Alaska RN license in hand, minimum 1 year of experience, current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications, and proficiency in Epic charting system.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Cardiac Telemetry, Central Line Care/Management, Chest Tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), CVA Management, Epidural Analgesia, Feeding Tube Care, Heparin Protocols, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), ABG Interpretation, Dysrhythmia Interpretation, PPE/Isolation Precautions, Insulin Protocols, Cardiac and Vasoactive Drips Management, Telemetry Monitoring (unit and remote), Total Joint Replacement, Tracheostomy Care, TAVR, Traumatic Brain Injury, Rapid Response/Code Teams, Wound Care, and more.
  • Experience: 1 year in a similar role.
  • Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift, with minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Must be willing to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). References covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) within the past 3 years are required. All RTO requests are approved on an individual basis and must be included during submission.
