Description

Job Summary:
A Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare facility located in Ogden, Utah. This is a 13-week travel assignment focused on labor and delivery nursing. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The shift for this position is nights, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Location: Ogden, UT
  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE certification, labor and delivery experience, Utah state nursing license, 0 years of minimum experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: AWHONN Intermediate certification, RNC-EFM (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing Electronic Fetal Monitoring), postpartum lactation and breastfeeding assistance, circulating in the operating room for cesarean sections, experience with inductions, vaginal deliveries, C-section procedures with or without tubal ligation, speculum exams
  • Unit Information: The unit features 25 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) rooms, and 4 triage rooms. Staffing includes labor nurses, postpartum nurses, and support staff such as ward clerks, Certified Nursing Assistants, and OB Techs. The typical patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 for labor and 3-4 for postpartum couples.
  • Equipment and Technology: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems including CPN and Meditech.
  • Additional Information: The role requires flexibility, adaptability, teamwork, integrity, and a positive attitude. No floating area is required. Scrubs are provided.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
